http://acousticletter.com/taylor-gs-mini-vs-martin-dreadnought-junior/ I really think the Taylor sounds weak compared to the Dread jr. Both are on the twangy side sound wise but I could live with the...

I thought they sounded remarkably similar. Neither sounded good enough for me to consider a purchase though...

Re: Martin vs Taylor

I heard quite a few differences.  Taylors in general lack sufficient fundamental for my tastes so as a result all sound pretty thin no matter whether a $500 or a $5000 guitar and this guitar sounded...

I haven't played the DJ yet, but I love the GS mini sound and feel from a player's perspective. It's just an addictive little guitar. I already have a voyage air, so I'm not in the market for another...

Re: Martin vs Taylor

Don't know about the Martin, but I thought that the GS mini was pretty good for a small body, particularly the sweeter sounding mahogany-topped version. A big plus for me in general with Taylors is...

funny, i liked taylors years ago , light, low action, light strings, easy to pick. never wanted one though just a different sound, and to me, no power, but great sparkle. but, as brilliantly...

Oddly, the best travel guitar I've played has been Eastman's. shaped like the GS mini (more or less), but an amazing full and non-twangy sound. surprised the hell out of me and it utterly destroyed...
